aufs - Another Unionfs

/. 経由で知ったんですが，aufs というスタッカブルファイルシステム（参考⇒【http://udpip.ameblo.jp/entry-d3bc0b8ae8a2c493eb187e8523ede932.html】）があるそうで。作者は VAlinux の方らしいです（⇒【http://buxus.s31.xrea.com/pukiwiki/pukiwiki.php?Aufs】）。

unionfs ってかつての FreeBSD だと不安定だったりしたんで敬遠してたんですが，今はどうなんでしょうか。この手のものって jail や OpenVZ などの OS レベルの仮想化環境でうまく使うと，ディスク容量を節約しつつメンテナンスコストを下げることができるんで期待大です。

元来の unionfs がもつ特徴とは別に目をひいたところは，
